Cranio ("the app") is a migraine attack tracker. This policy explains what information the app handles today. Because Cranio is under active development, this policy will be updated whenever new features change how data is handled — check back before assuming a feature described elsewhere (sync, ads, AI insights) is already active.
By default, Cranio does not collect or transmit any data. Everything you log — attack times, pain levels, triggers, medication, notes — is stored locally on your device in a private on-device database. Nothing leaves your phone unless you explicitly enable a sync or backup feature in a future update, at which point this policy will be revised to describe exactly what is sent and where.
Cranio does not require you to create an account or sign in to use the core logging features. There is no user identity tied to your data.
The current version of Cranio does not display ads and does not offer a paid subscription. If a future update adds advertising (e.g. via Google AdMob) or a subscription (e.g. via RevenueCat), those services may collect device identifiers or usage data under their own privacy policies, and this page will be updated to name the services in use and link to their respective policies before that update ships.
Attack logs, pain levels, and medication notes are health-adjacent information. This data is treated as sensitive: it stays on your device, is not sold, and is not shared with third parties by Cranio. You control it — you can delete individual entries or uninstall the app to remove all locally stored data.
Cranio is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from children, consistent with the fact that it collects no data from anyone by default.
As Cranio adds optional cloud sync, AI-generated insights, or monetization features, this policy will be updated in place at this same URL, with the effective date revised accordingly.
